Alcatel introduces 6″ smartphone with Android 7 and fingerprint scanner

Alcatel has announced a 6″ smartphone in the context of the CES electronics fair. This smartphone comes standard with Android Nougat and a fingerprint scanner. The device should be available from the second half of this year.

The IPS screen of the Alcatel A3 XL has a resolution of 720×1280 pixels. In addition, the device has a MediaTek MT8735-soc with a quad-core processor that runs at a maximum of 1.1GHz. The storage of the A3 XL is 8GB, of which 3.8GB remains for the users. The storage can be expanded up to 32 GB with a micro SD card and the working memory comes down to 1 GB.

In addition to a 3000mAh battery, the device has an eight-megapixel camera with dual flash on the back and a five-megapixel model on the front. The device uses a nano SIM card and supports 4G. Users can choose to unlock the device with the fingerprint scanner present.

Although it is a budget device, it is equipped with the latest Android version, Nougat. Alcatel has not yet announced prices of the device.
