Be quiet is giving away free socket AM4 upgrade kits for their processor coolers

Be quiet has announced that users who have purchased a processor cooler from the company that is currently in production can request a free AM4 socket upgrade kit.

The company distributes the upgrade kits so that users do not have to buy a new cooler if they are building a computer based on AMD’s new socket and they have already purchased a cooler from be quiet. Coolers that already fit on current AMD motherboards and don’t need a backplate, according to be quiet also fit on AM4 motherboards and therefore do not need the upgrade kit.

The upgrade kits will be available for the Dark Rock 3, Dark Rock Pro 3, Dark Rock TF, Shadow Rock 2 and Shadow Rock Slim. Water cooling sets from the Silent Loop series also receive a kit. The kits can be requested from 9 January on the be quiet website and will be included with all processor coolers mentioned in the course of the year.
