Acer releases eye-tracking gaming monitor and two 240Hz monitors
Acer has announced two new gaming monitors. The XB252Q and X272 can handle frame rates up to 240Hz. In addition, Acer has released the price and availability of the curved Predator Z301CT with support for eye tracking.
Acer announced the Predator Z301CT back in November and now the company has announced that the monitor with 30″ VA panel and 2560×1080 pixel resolution will be available from February for a suggested retail price of 899 euros. The monitor features eye tracking technology from Tobii. can be used for in-game functions, such as rotating the screen when the player faces the edge of the screen.Acer said more than 45 games already support Tobii, including Elite Dangerous, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Watch Dogs 2 .
The curved screen has a response time of 4ms, 178-degree viewing angles and a refresh rate of 200Hz. The stand allows the user to rotate and tilt the screen. The height can also be adjusted by 120 mm and two 3-watt speakers are built-in. At the back of the screen are three USB 3.0 ports.
The Predator XB252Q and Predator XB272 both have a TN panel with a full HD resolution that supports a refresh rate of up to 240Hz. The XB252Q has a 24.5″ format and the XB272 has a 27-inch format. The screens have four USB 3.0 ports and two 2-watt speakers. In addition to rotating, tilting and adjusting, the stand also allows the use of portrait orientation .
The XB252Q costs 599 euros and 699 euros must be deposited for the XB272. These screens will also be available in Europe from February. All models support G-Sync.
