Steam Winter Sale Begins December 22
PayPal has announced that Valve will begin the Steam Winter Sale on December 22. During the sale, many games in the virtual store are heavily discounted. The nominated games for the Steam Awards have also been announced.
paypal made announced the start date on his Twitter page. Until exactly when the promotion will last is not known, but according to earlier rumors that appeared on the NeoGaf forum, it will end on January 2, just like last year.
Valve has also announced the nominees for the Steam Awards. Announced in November, the awards were divided into fun categories such as “Best Use of a Farm Animal.”
Eight categories were originally planned, with a ninth to be created by the community, but after several good suggestions came in, Valve added four more. The additional categories are ‘Boom Boom’, for the best use of explosions, ‘Love/Hate Relationship’, for a game that is very difficult but therefore enjoyable, ‘Sit Back and Relax’, for the most soothing game, and ‘Better With Friends’, for a game that’s more fun with friends than alone.
Every day from December 22, you can vote for a different category. Games in the last four categories will be voted on December 30, with the winners of each category being announced on New Year’s Eve.
