Dragon Age: Absolution animated series will be released on Netflix in December
Netflix announces a Dragon Age animated series in partnership with BioWare. The series will premiere on the streaming service in December and is set in Tevinter. The story is about a group of characters inspired by the Dragon Age lore.
As in the Dragon Age games, the series features elves, mages, knights, Qunari, red templars, and demons. In addition, the series will receive “other special surprises,” according to an announcement from BioWare and Netflix. The makers also show a first trailer of the series†
The animated series is produced by Red Dog Culture House. That is a South Korean animation studio that also has the Netflix animation film The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf to its name. Mairghread Scott is the showrunner of the series. She has previously written several episodes of Transformers animated series.
Last week, BioWare revealed the name of the fourth game in the series: Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. More details about the game are not yet known. The Dragon Age series has been around since 2009. Three games have appeared in the franchise so far.
