Spotify users report problems with web player – update

It seems that Spotify users are facing an outage. All sorts of users report problems that seem to focus mainly on the music service’s web player.

On the Spotify page of the website All failures can be seen that there have been problems since 10am. On the UK version of this website several people report that the web player is not working. A user writes that Spotify thinks the user is offline, because a message follows that the service is not available while the user is offline.

Show on Twitter various users screenshots of error messages when using the web player. Other users report that the Spotify website also doesn’t load, that login is not possible and some say that the service closes automatically.

Spotify is not reporting anything on its own at the time of writing Twitter account that is for updates on the status of the service. Partly because of this, it is currently unclear how widespread the problems are, what the cause is and how long the issues will last.

Update, 6:44 PM: The problems with Spotify’s web player have now been resolved.
