MSI has introduced a thin & light notebook with an Intel Core i5 processor and a 13″ screen. The X-Slim X360 weighs 1.4 kg and has an i5-520UM CPU that runs at 1.06 GHz. MSI claims a battery life of nine hours.

The new dual core fashion model of the X-Slim series uses Intel’s HM55 chipset. The GPU integrated into the CPU runs at a maximum of 500MHz, while the CPU itself can run at a maximum of 1.86GHz with Turbo Boost. Up to 4GB DDR3 memory can be placed, while the hard drive can be chosen from 250GB, 320GB and 500GB copies. The glossy 13″ screen has a resolution of 1366×768 pixels.

The design laptop has a weight of 1.4 kg, is less than an inch thick and is covered with a rectangular pattern. The dimensions are 324x227x22.5mm. The company claims a battery life of nine hours, which is achieved, among other things, by using the different power levels that the laptop automatically switches between.

The operating system of the MSI X-Slim X360 is Windows 7 Home Premium. The laptop offers, among other things, an HDMI and a D-sub output, Ethernet, two USB 2.0 ports and a 2-in-1 card reader. The thin&light also has WiFi-b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 and a 1.3-megapixel webcam. The X-Slim X360 should be available from the second quarter, according to the company, at an unknown price.
