NCSoft is working on ‘interactive movie’ for consoles with Unreal Engine 5
South Korean developer NCSoft announces Project M, a kind of interactive film that the studio is making with the Unreal Engine. The game will be available for consoles. NCSoft also does not mention a release date.
NCSoft develops Project M with Unreal Engine 5 and claims to focus on realistic graphics. The studio uses its own techniques for 3D scans and motion capture to reproduce the movements and faces of actors as realistically as possible in the game.
Project M follows the story of a man who wants revenge for the death of his wife, the developer writes. The trailer shows gameplay of the game, in which players have to make choices about the actions their characters take. According to the developer, those choices affect the course of the story and the ending. The game is reminiscent of Quantic Dream titles such as Heavy Rain.
It is unknown when the game will be released. NCSoft states that the game will be released for consoles, but does not mention concrete platforms. The studio also does not say whether the title will be available outside of South Korea.
