Minisforum releases UM560 mini PC with AMD Ryzen 5 5625U hexacore
Minisforum announces its UM560. This mini PC comes with an AMD Ryzen 5 processor with six cores and an integrated Vega 7 GPU. The company comes with a barebone variant, but also supplies models including memory and storage.
Minisforum provides its UM560 of an AMD Ryzen 5 5625U processor, which is based on the Zen 3 architecture and features six cores and twelve threads with a boost clock up to 4.3GHz. It uses the integrated Vega GPU with seven compute units at 1.8GHz. The mini PC also has two SO-DIMM slots for dual channel DDR4 memory.
The mini PC can be supplied as barebone without memory or storage, but the manufacturer also offers variants with up to 32GB DDR4 memory and an M.2 2280 SSD with PCIe 3.0 interface and up to 512GB storage. The variants that contain an SSD from the factory, according to Minisforum, are supplied with Windows 11 Pro. The housing also offers space for a 2.5″ drive.
The mini PC is 12.80 cm long, 12.66 cm wide and 4.65 cm high. The UM560 features two USB 2.0 and two USB 3.2 type A ports, two USB-C ports on the front and one USB-C port on the back. Monitors can also be connected to two of those USB-C ports, although the mini PC also has two HDMI connections. The PC is also powered via USB-C with an included 65W power adapter. Furthermore, the PC has an RJ45 port for 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet and a 3.5 mm jack.
The Minisforum UM560 barebone has a suggested retail price of 439 euros. Models that come with memory and storage are available from 539 euros. On its website, Minisforum currently lists lower prices, but those appear to be discounts.
