Download Driver For Realtek HD Audio R1.16

New HD Audio drivers can be downloaded from the Realtek site for motherboards equipped with this hardware. High Definition Audio is the successor to the AC’97 sound codec and was officially introduced a year ago by Intel and Dolby Laboratories. The update, which is only suitable for Windows 2k/XP, is numbered R1.16 and can be downloaded from this link. Beta versions of these drivers are available for 64-bit versions of Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. This set can be downloaded from here. The version number of the drivers is unknown, but presumably these beta drivers use the same core as the R1.16 release. Unfortunately, it is unknown what the changes are for both versions, as the changelogs have not been updated to this release.
