Pebble brings Timeline Past back to watches with update

Pebble is bringing Timeline Past back to its watches via the 4.0.1 update. The manufacturer removed that from version 4.0 of its software. Pebble customers have criticized the removal of the feature, which allows users to retrieve missed notifications and past calendar events.

The Timeline will not return as it is in version 3.x of the Pebble firmware. The SDK changelog shows that users can create a Quick Launch shortcut for Timeline Past. This means that the function can be reached by long-pressing or double-pressing a button. Whoever presses the top button briefly, the way to get to the function in 3.x firmwares, will continue to come out at Pebble Health. Health is Pebble’s application in which it keeps track of fitness data.

The update is now out on watches. Version 4.0 of Pebble OS runs on the Time, Time Steel and Time Round. The first generation Pebble and Pebble Steel are not compatible with the new OS version.
