Sony introduces light and thin Vaio TT notebooks

Sony’s notebook line is expanded with two ultraportable Vaios in the TT series. The small notebooks are intended for the business market. They will be available from the end of October.

Both laptops in the VGN-TT series feature a widescreen wxga display with a screen diagonal of 11.1″ and a resolution of 1366×768 pixels. The TT11X has 4GB DDR3 memory and a 160GB SATA hard drive with a rotation speed of 5400rpm on board, while the TT11M has 2GB DDR3 memory and a 120GB large SATA drive. Both laptops weigh just 1.29 kilograms thanks to their housing, in which carbon fiber is used. The width of the Vaios is about 28cm, the length 20cm, while the thickness is only 23.5mm. Both laptops have a six-cell battery with a capacity of 5400mAh. That battery should last 460 minutes and 570 minutes respectively. The black VGN-TT11X costs the sweet sum of 2499 euros, while the VGN-TT11M changes hands for 1799 euros.
