Apple is going to remove outdated apps from the App Store
Apple will remove outdated apps from the App Store. In this way, it wants to prevent people from installing apps that are no longer up-to-date or even no longer function properly. The company will begin vetting the App Store next week.
If Apple finds that an app is no longer up-to-date or no longer functional, the developer will be notified. Then that developer can submit an update within 30 days. If not, Apple will remove the app from the Store. The American company immediately removes apps if they crash on startup.
According to the manufacturer, the step is necessary to make it possible for users to always find good apps. Starting next week, Apple will regularly check all apps in the Store to see if they still comply with the guidelines and still function.
If Apple removes an app from the App Store, it will continue to work with users who previously placed it on their iOS device. In-app purchases will also continue to work for existing users. If developers then update a deleted app that does meet Apple’s standards, it will reappear.
