Acer comes with Android smartphones Liquid Z6 and Z6 Plus
Acer will introduce two new smartphones in the Liquid line at IFA in Berlin: the Liquid Z6 and Z6 Plus. The Z6 has a 5″ screen with HD resolution and the Liquid Z6 Plus has a screen with a 5.5″ diagonal and a full HD resolution.
The phones differ little in appearance; unlike the Z6, the Z6 Plus has a physical button with a fingerprint scanner on the front and a metal back. The top model has a 64-bit soc with eight cores, MediaTek’s MT6753-ARM processor that runs at a maximum of 1.5GHz. The phone is powered by a 4080mAh battery and has a 13-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel variant on the front. The Z6 Plus has 32GB of storage memory along with 3GB of ram.
The cheaper Liquid Z6 is equipped with a MediaTek-soc type MT6737P with four processor cores that controls an HD screen. The phone comes in black or white with a ‘gold colored’ back. The camera on the back has a resolution of eight megapixels and the one on the front shoots photos in a resolution of two megapixels. The phone has 8GB of storage memory and 1GB of RAM. The battery capacity has not been disclosed.
Both phones will be available in the Benelux from October. The Acer Liquid Z6 has a suggested retail price of 119 euros; the Liquid Z6 Plus 249 euros.
