Hello Games promises patch for No Man’s Sky’s biggest problems
Hello Games posted a message on its website detailing the issues players are experiencing with No Man’s Sky. In it, the studio states that solutions are being worked on for the ‘most critical problems’, but without specifying which these are.
Hello Games also apologizes for the fact that not all reports can be resolved, because there are “more players and longer playing than the small team could have expected”. That is why the studio has decided to appoint a new QA team to complement Sony’s existing team.
In addition to the promised approach to the biggest problems, Hello Games has decided to move to a support system based on individual tickets. The post attempts to resolve several issues by describing workarounds. For example for the situation that a player is stuck or can no longer return to his ship.
It also addresses the issue of some players being unable to continue using the Domanish S84 pre-order ship. If they switch ships, these players then miss a hyperdrive. Hello Games states that in most cases there are options to continue playing.
No Man’s Sky came out this week and shortly after release sparked a discussion about some of the promises made by the developers over the years. For example, there would have been talk of multiplayer functions, which, however, do not seem to be present. The game is mostly negatively rated after Friday’s PC release on Steam, with the bulk of the negative ratings appearing to have been done based on the game’s performance.
