AOC introduces gaming monitor with G-Sync and 165Hz panel
AOC has added two monitors for gamers to its range of products. In both cases, it is a 23.8″ monitor with QHD resolution, but one model has G-Sync support, while the other supports Adaptive-Sync.
The two monitors appear in AOC’s relatively new Agon series of gaming monitors. Both the Agon AG241QG and AG241QX have a 23.8″ screen with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. In both cases, it is a tn panel with screen brightness of 350cd/m2 and gray-to-gray response time of 1ms. are adjustable in height where a ruler indicates the adjustment, in addition, the screens can be tilted and rotated.
The Agon AG241QG supports Nvidia G-Sync to prevent stuttering and tearing when gaming, and the refresh rate on this model is 165Hz. The connections on the AG241QG concern HDMI, displayport and four USB 3.0 ports.
The AG241QX has to make do with a refresh rate of 144Hz and this monitor supports the Adaptive-Sync technology of the VESA to prevent stuttering and tearing. This model does have considerably more connection options, with d-sub, dvi, twice hdmi, mhl, displayport and the four usb 3.0 ports.
The Agon AG241QX will be available in August for a suggested retail price of 449 and the AG241QG will be available a month later for 599 euros.
