Rumor: Google is working on two of its own Android Wear watches
Google is reportedly working on two Android Wear watches, both with a round screen. The watches should come out some time after the new Nexus devices and both run on Android Wear 2.0.
The smaller of the two is codenamed Swordfish and has a diameter of 42mm, with a thickness of 10.6mm, reports Android Police. It would resemble the Pebble Time Round with a thicker case, fewer bezels around the screen and more curves in the case. The watch has a crown on the right side.
The largest is called Angelfish and has a diameter of 43.5mm and a thickness of more than 14mm. It is the more complete of the two with support for 4G, GPS and a built-in heart rate monitor. The Angelfish also has three buttons on the side, including a crown. It is unknown what Google uses the two extra buttons for.
The watches have support for Google Assistant, the addition to Google Now that the search giant announced at its developer conference I/O. What that integration entails is unknown. The watch faces for the two Google watches, which may fall into the Nexus line, should also offer additional functions such as quick access to notifications and music controls. Android Police says nothing about possible prices for the watches.
Android Police says they have heard the information from multiple sources. The site has a good track record of Google rumors and has often been the first to release information about unannounced Google products and services in recent years.
