Microsoft allows sending files to offline Skype contacts
Microsoft has announced that Skype users can share files with contacts who are offline. The company started enabling the feature a few weeks ago.
Microsoft explains that during that time it conducted a number of tests to determine the maximum file size for files that can be sent in this way. It has been found that a maximum file size of 300MB would be sufficient for most file types shared via Skype.
It is also possible to retrieve a sent file on different devices, Microsoft writes. For example, a user can retrieve a presentation on his phone and then continue working on it on his computer. Also, the same file can be downloaded more than once.
