Download Mozilla Thunderbird 3.1.7

The Mozilla Thunderbird e-mail program can be used, among other things, for reading and sending e-mail, reading and posting to newsgroups and reading RSS feeds. In terms of additional features, Thunderbird is equipped with a junk mail filter, a spell checker, the ability to tag messages and a search function. Furthermore, the program can be expanded with addons† The development team has released version 3.1.7 with the following announcement:

Thunderbird 3.1.7 fixes the following issues in Thunderbird 3.1.6:

• Several fixes to improve performance, stability and security:
  • MFSA 2010-78 Add support for OTS font sanitizer
  • MFSA 2010-75 Buffer overflow while line breaking after document.write with long string
  • MFSA 2010-74 Miscellaneous memory safety hazards (rv:1.9.2.13/ 1.9.1.16)
• Several fixes to improve handling of large folder files stored locally.
• Several fixes to improve corruption in local copy of IMAP mailboxes.
