Sony releases PlayStation VR on October 13
Sony has announced the release of the PlayStation VR headset on October 13 in the US and Europe. It costs 399 euros separately and is also available in combination with two Move controllers and a camera for 499 euros.
It was also confirmed that 50 games should be available before the end of the year. This was announced in March at the Game Developers Conference. The then announced Battlefront game now turns out to be Star Wars Battlefront: X-Wing VR Mission, in which the player controls an X-Wing from the pilot’s point of view.
Rocksteady’s Batman Arkham VR game is also available for PlayStation VR at launch. In addition, Resident Evil 7, which will be released in January, must also be playable in combination with the glasses. Finally, Sony announced that a Final Fantasy XV fps for the PSVR will also be released.
Other games for the platform include Bound, RIGS Mechanized Combat League, and Bass Drop. In the first game, the aim is to play different platform levels through dance movements. The RIGS game allows the player to control mechs in different classes.
Sony did not present any new information about its PlayStation 4 Neo. The company had already indicated before E3 that this would happen sometime after the game fair.
