No Man’s Sky release delayed until August 9
No Man’s Sky will not be released in June as previously promised, but will instead be released on August 9. The European release will follow a day later. The reason for the delay is that the game still needs a bit of ‘polishing’ before it is suitable for release.
Sean Murray, employed by developer Hello Games, announced the news on the PlayStation Blog. He states that he made the choice to postpone No Man’s Sky because some parts of the game did not yet have the desired quality. Furthermore, no details were given, although Murray talks about ‘important’ parts of the game.
Due to the fact that the game is not finished in time, the original release date of June 22 has to be pushed back. Hello Games has chosen 9 August as the new date. The European release will then follow on August 10. No Man’s Sky is a game where the player has to explore planets, gain resources and engage in battles with other players.
