Developer hints at Apple Watch jailbreak that enables custom watchfaces
A developer has been hinting for a few days on the release of a jailbreak for the Apple Watch and watchOS. That would, for example, make homemade watch faces and other tweaks possible on the watch. He won’t let go when he releases the jailbreak.
Developer Maximehip say on Twitter only that the jailbreak ‘soon’ will come out, and does not mention for which date he would like to bring the jailbreak online. In any case, the jailbreak would make custom watchfaces possible, but other tweaks should also be possible, according to an earlier tweet.
The developer says that in addition to a jailbreak of the watch, it is also an app for iOS, with which users can manage custom watch faces and tweaks. The photo shows, among other things, that the iOS app has theme management on board.
Apple released the Watch more than a year ago. The manufacturer has not yet presented a successor for the watch. However, there is now new software in the form of watchOS 2.0, which came out last fall.
