AOC makes all-in-one PC with Android-based Remix OS 2.0
Monitor manufacturer AOC and software maker Jide have presented an all-in-one computer that runs on the Android-based Remix OS 2.0. The AOC device has a 23.8″ screen and a 64bit ARM processor.
According to Liliputing, the soc is an Amlogic S905 quad-core, with four ARM Cortex-A53 cores at 2GHz. The PhD student has 2GB of RAM, which will be available in two variants: with 16GB or 64GB of storage space. The other specifications are the same. The screen has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and thin screen edges. On the back are two HDMI ports, four USB connections and an Ethernet port.
The aoi PC is listed on Jide’s website under the name AOC Mars and is currently on display at the first edition of CES Asia in Shanghai. The Remix OS computer will be released in China this summer. AOC may also want to introduce the device in other regions, if there is demand for it. A price has not yet been announced.
Jide previously released a tablet and a mini computer with Remix OS. Remix OS 2.0 was released early this year. The free operating system is based on Android, but is intended for use on PCs and has features such as a start menu, right-clicking and the ability to drag and drop files and windows.
