Spotify shows new artist releases in What’s New tab

Spotify has released a What’s New feature where users can see if there are new releases from artists they follow. New episodes of podcasts also appear there.

The feature is called What’s New and will be rolled out to all Android and iOS users over the next two weeks. The feature appears as a bell icon at the top of the home screen of the mobile apps. In it, users see new music tracks and albums from artists they follow.

The feature also includes new podcast episodes. There are also new shows coming in from the video podcasts that the company has been offering for a year. In the tab it is possible to distinguish between music and podcasts and other shows.
