Asus puts pictures and details Zenfone 3 and 3 Deluxe online on design site
Asus has posted images and some details of the Zenfone 3 online on a design website. The phone has convex glass on the front and back. There will also be a Deluxe version, which, according to Asus, is the world’s first phone with an all-metal housing.
Asus does not discuss in detail why the Zenfone 3 Deluxe does not need tricks such as antenna lines. However, it does say that it has examined the principles of transmitting radio signals and has also had to overcome obstacles in the field of manufacturing. The picture of the Deluxe, here on the right, does not show the back, but shows the smartphone obliquely from the front.
The Zenfone 3 has a USB-C port and a flash for the front camera, Asus says in the accompanying text. Specifications, such as the size and resolution of the screen, processor used and other components are not included in the text.
The fingerprint scanner seems to be on the back, but the cutout has an unusual shape. Where most phones have a circular scanner there, this one is rectangular. Presumably it is a scanner that on other phones sits horizontally in the home button on the front.
The device has three touch-sensitive buttons on the front. Asus also mentions a Smart Flip Cover, whose screen can illuminate the edges.
It is still unknown when Asus will reveal more details of the Zenfone 3 and Zenfone 3 Deluxe, such as specs and details about the release date and price.
