Logitech releases two new mechanical keyboards. The G610 Orion Red and Orion Brown feature Cherry MX switches and customizable lighting. At the beginning of April, the keyboards are for sale for 139 euros each.

The manufacturer places the keyboards in its range for gamers. The new Orion Red and Orion Brown keyboards have backlit keys, but no RGB LEDs. However, the brightness of the key lighting can be adjusted as desired with the Logitech Gaming Software. The G610 keyboard weighs 1.2kg, is a full-size model and features additional multimedia keys. The F1-F12 buttons can be used for adjustable macros.

Except for the switches, the two keyboards are the same. The G610 Orion Red has Cherry MX Red switches, which have an even pressure. The Orion Brown keyboard has Brown switches that provide slight resistance while typing. Logitech already made the G710+ with Cherry MX switches in 2012, but opted for recent mechanical keyboards for its own Romer G switches. With the G610 keyboards, the manufacturer, like many other brands, opts for the popular switches from Cherry MX.
