Rumor: Battlefield 5 will be World War I themed and coming in October

It seems that the still unannounced game Battlefield 5 will be set during the First World War. The expected release date was also revealed: October 26. However, the data comes from a retailer.

This is reported by game website IGN based on a listing at the Swiss World of Games. The retailer has since removed the notification about the aforementioned theme of the First World War. Furthermore, nothing is clear about the gameplay. World of Games does report that the game will be released for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, on October 26. Because the release is still a long way off, it is difficult to estimate how accurate this release date is.

It was already known that a new member of the Battlefield series would come. Developer DICE already indicated that they are working on the game and EA promised that the game would be on shelves “before April 2017”. None of those involved wanted to comment further on the gameplay, but there were already rumors that a new theme would be chosen.
