The Chinese manufacturer TCL wants to present the Idol 4 and 4S soon. The most distinctive feature of the most expensive 4S would be in the box in which the manufacturer will sell the device. The box could also serve as VR glasses.

Users could put the device in the box and use it as a Cardboard viewer, writes ‘smartphone nice’ EvLeaks on Venturebeat. As far as we know, it is the first time that a manufacturer uses the packaging of a smartphone as an accessory for the device itself.

The arrival of the Idol 4 and 4S is no longer a secret, because they appeared on the site of the manufacturer itself. This already showed some features, such as an octacore soc, 3000mAh battery and the presence of Android 6.0. According to EvLeaks, TCL, which releases phones under the name Alcatel One Touch, provides the most expensive model with a 5.5 “amoled screen with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. The phone would run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652.

It is unknown whether the smaller Idol 4 has the same box, but it is obvious. The 4 would have a 5.2″ LCD with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. TCL will show the new Alcatel One Touch phones in two weeks, at the Mobile World Congress telecom fair in Barcelona.
