Volition puts canceled Saints Row game online for PSP

Game developer Volition has released a playable version of Saints Row: Undercover for the PlayStation Portable. That is striking, because it was previously indicated that the game would no longer be released.

Due to the cancellation, Volition has released a prototype of the game, claiming its historical value, the company said on Facebook. Those interested can download the software from the Unseen64 website; there are links to an ISO installation file of Saints Row: Undercover.

However, getting the game to run is not very easy. Since the game has not been officially released, it is necessary to use an emulator to play the iso file, and that is only possible on modified PSPs that can run alternative software. Users also report problems getting the game to work.

Since Saints Row: Undercover will not be released, Volition will not provide in-game support. The game is also unfinished, so it is likely that players will encounter bugs.
