Arctic comes with Alpine 11 Passive cooling block for Intel CPUs
Cooler manufacturer Arctic comes with a cooling block with which Intel CPUs with a TDP of up to 47 watts can be passively cooled. The aluminum block is 95mm wide, 69mm high, weighs 527 grams and is for sale for a suggested retail price of 12.99 euros.
The Arctic Alpine 11 Passive can be mounted on motherboards with socket 1150, 1151, 1155 or 1156. Although the block is suitable for CPUs with a TDP of 47 Watts, users of processors with a TDP higher than 35 Watts should take this into account. that the clock speed may drop with prolonged use in systems that are completely fanless.
The bottom of the Alpine 11 is provided with MX-2 thermal paste, so that the block can be mounted directly. Previously, Arctic released the Alpine M1 for passive cooling of AMD APUs on AM1 motherboards.
