Samsung announces 6″ Galaxy A9 with 4000mAh battery in China
Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy A9, albeit only in China. The device has a 6″ screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and a Snapdragon 652-octacore. The battery capacity is 4000mAh.
Details about the Galaxy A9 have already come out through rumors and on Wednesday evening the message came that Samsung China had announced the device during an event, but on Thursday the A9 actually appeared on the Chinese site of the manufacturer.
The smartphone has a 6″ screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. In addition to that size, another striking feature is the presence of a large 4000mAh battery. Samsung combines the Snapdragon 652, formerly the Snapdragon 620, with 3GB of ram with the device. storage of 32 GB can be expanded with micro SD cards. There is an 8-megapixel camera on the front and a 13-megapixel variant on the back. The dual-SIM phone also has a fingerprint sensor and the possibility of fast charging.
The Galaxy A9 will be available in China in white, gold and pink and Samsung is still putting Android 5.1.1 on the devices for the time being. The phone is part of the 2016 line of Galaxy A smartphones, which also includes the new A7 and A5. It is not yet known whether and when the Galaxy A9 will come to Europe. In the first quarter of 2016, new versions of the Galaxy A3 and A5 will appear in the Benelux.
