NEC introduces 27″ and 30″ monitors with IPS panels
Hardware manufacturer NEC has announced two new MultiSync monitors, namely the EA305WMi and the EA275WMi. The new LCDs measure 30″ and 27″ respectively. The 30″ version has an aspect ratio of 16:10 and the 27″ version 16:9.
Both displays have a viewing angle of 178º and have a specified brightness of 350cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1000:1 with a response time of 6ms. Both screens are also equipped with two speakers of one watt each and a headphone connection. The monitors also feature DisplayPort 1.2 inputs and outputs and NEC’s proprietary ControlSync technology, allowing up to six monitors to be set up in a multi-monitor configuration.
The EA305WMi has a 29.8″ screen and a resolution of 2560 by 1600 pixels. The panel is illuminated by GB-R LED technology. The smaller EA275WMi has a 27″ screen with a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels with w -led.
To obtain the monitors, the 30″ version has to be paid $1399 ex VAT and for the 27″ version $699 ex VAT. Euro prices are not yet known.
