Asus introduces 25″ wqhd monitor with thin bezels

With the Designo MX25AQ, Asus has released a 25″ monitor with what they say is a ‘borderless’ screen. The bezel thickness is 0.1 cm according to the specifications. The screen has a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels and is available immediately.

The MX25AQ gets a place in the Designo series, where design plays a major role. The monitor contains an ah-ips panel, which, according to Asus, can display 100 percent of the sRGB color space and has a maximum brightness of 300cd/m2. The gray-to-gray response time is 5ms and the refresh rate is up to 75Hz.

There are two HDMI ports and a displayport 1.2 connection. The monitor also has two built-in speakers and a 3.5mm headphone jack. When turned on, the screen consumes less than 34 watts; turned off is less than 0.5 watts, according to the specs. Including foot, the monitor measures 570.9×404.7×225.4mm, the total weight is 4.2kg.

Asus has not disclosed a suggested retail price, but the Designo MX25AQ has already appeared in a number of web shops and currently costs around 400 euros.
