Apple: iPad Pro may freeze while charging
Apple has confirmed that the iPad Pro may become unresponsive in some cases while the device is charging. According to the company, the issues are being investigated, but users will have to reboot for now.
On its support website, Apple confirms that the problem is known, following several reports that recently surfaced about iPad crashes. However, it is still unclear what is causing the problems; although the Cupertino manufacturer indicates that it is aware of the problems, no further information has been given.
Users experiencing a frozen iPad Pro are advised to restart the tablet by pressing and holding the sleep/wake and home buttons at the same time. It is not yet known when a fix will be released for the reported problems.
Complaints from users of the iPad Pro about crashes during charging have been coming out for some time, MacRumors reported earlier this week. Complaints can be found on Apple’s own support forums, among others, and on social networking sites such as Reddit. Apple released the large version of the iPad earlier this month, following an announcement in September. With a screen diagonal of 12.9 “, the tablet is the largest model in the iPad series.
