G.Skill Introduces 8GB DDR4 Modules With Speeds Up To 4133MHz
Taiwanese memory manufacturer G.Skill introduces new ddr4 memory modules with speeds from 3600 to 4133MHz. The 8GB strips are bundled in the Trident Z series in kits of 16, 32 or 64GB.
G.Skill says it uses Samsung chips of the highest quality for the memory. The set with 4133MHz memory consists of two strips of 8GB. To achieve this speed, at timings of 19-25-25-45, 1.4 volts is needed. For the kits that run at slower speeds, 1.35 volts is sufficient.
The Trident Z-series memory kits come with an XMP 2.0 overclocking profile, which should make speeding up on systems that support it easy. The fast memory is made for use with Skylake CPUs on motherboards with the Z170 chipset. G.Skill validated the ddr4 memory at 4133MHz with a Core i7-6700K on an ASRock Z170 OC Formula motherboard.
