New Mortal Kombat Movie Coming In March 2021 2021
Warner Bros. will release the new Mortal Kombat movie on March 5, 2021. It was already known that the pre-production of the reboot will start this month, but so far there was no concrete release date.
Variety reports that Warner Bros. has given the Mortal Kombat reboot a March 5, 2021 release date. The company recently announced that shooting in the state of South Australia will start sometime later this year. Several Australian filmmakers are hired for this, such as producer James Wan, who is known for the recent Aquaman and The Conjuring films. Australian Simon McQuoid directs. Greg Russo, the writer of Resident Evil reboot, is also involved in the film project.
The film is produced by New Line Cinema and shot in studios in the southern Australian city of Adelaide. McQuoid indicated that many different elements are needed to make the film a success and that all those elements can be found in Adelaide. He also mentioned the ‘uniquely beautiful landscapes’, which probably means that Australian landscapes are part of the film. Further details, such as what exactly the story is about, are still unknown. In any case, it will be a live action movie, just like the original Mortal Kombat movies from 1995 and 1997.
