InnoDisk introduces Ethernet modules with m2 form factor
Innodisk is launching two m2-gigabit Ethernet modules that use a USB 3.0 interface. It is a single and a double module. Because USB 3.0 supports a maximum of 5 Gbit/s, the maximum Ethernet speeds can be achieved without any problems.
Because the USB protocol is used, no additional drivers are required for Windows or Linux machines to use the m2 cards. The single Ethernet adapter EGUL-G101 logically offers up to 1Gbit/s of throughput. In combination with port coupling, the EGUL-G201 can deliver up to 2Gbit/s of throughput and network redundancy can be used.
Furthermore, both modules are provided with good insulation with up to 15 kV protection against electrostatic discharge or ESD. The Ethernet cards measure 22x60mm within the m2 form factor and come with a cable.
