Motorola announces Moto G Turbo Edition in Mexico
Motorola has announced the Moto G Turbo Edition in Mexico. The main difference with the regular 2015 version of the Moto G is the presence of a more powerful Snapdragon: instead of the Snapdragon 410, the model has the Snapdragon 615.
On paper, the new version of the Moto G is therefore a lot faster: the Snapdragon 410 is a quadcore with a clock speed of 1.4GHz, while the 615 is an octacore with four cores running at 1.7GHz. The GPU is also more powerful, the 410 has the Adreno 306, the 615 the Adreno 405.
The housing of the Turbo Edition is otherwise identical to that of the regular Moto G. The other specifications also match. The Moto G Turbo Edition has 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage memory and a 5″ screen with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and Gorilla Glass 3 coating.
Motorola will start selling the device according to UnoCero on November 13 in Mexico, for a price of 4699 pesos, converted 261 euros. This makes the device more expensive than what the Moto G 2015 costs here. Whether and when the Turbo Edition will come to countries other than Mexico is unknown. The Moto G is popular for its good price-performance ratio.
