Lenovo announced Monday the Yoga 900: a high-end convertible that will be equipped with Intel Skylake processors. The resolution of the hybrid is 3200×1800 pixels and Lenovo provides the device with USB-C.

The most powerful processor with which Lenovo equips the Yoga 900 is the Core i7-6500U, a dual-core with a clock speed of 2.5GHz and the Graphics 520 as an integrated GPU. Furthermore, there is up to 16GB DDR3L and the SSD storage capacity is up to 512GB.

The convertible contains a USB-C interface and a regular USB 3.0 port. The former will have to serve as a multifunctional port because there is no HDMI port; the power connection can also serve as a USB 2.0 port. In addition, there is a memory card reader.

The wireless network card is the Wireless-AC 8260, a 2×2 model with support for WiFi-AC and Bluetooth 4.0. A fingerprint reader and a duo of microphones are also present. With the latter, Cortana, Windows 10’s personal assistant, should understand the user better. The four-cell battery with a capacity of 66Whr would allow browsing for more than ten hours at a screen brightness of 200 cd/m2.

The convertible is 14.9mm thick and weighs 1.29kg, making it thicker and heavier than the Yoga 3 Pro, but the system also features more powerful hardware than that device. The Yoga 900 will be available in three colors for a starting price of $1,299. That is converted, including VAT, 1388 euros. Exactly when the hybrid will be available in the Benelux and for what price is unknown.
