Rumor: Microsoft to release Lumia 950 and Surface Pro 4 on October 10
Microsoft will present its Lumia 950 and 950 XL on October 10, claims ‘smartphone tasty’ EvLeaks. Because the Redmond company would like to present the Lumias together with the new Surface tablet, it is obvious that Microsoft will announce it at the same time.
Microsoft chooses the date of October 10, because it can be written as 10/10 while the event will be dominated by hardware with Windows 10, EvLeaks says in an article on WMPoweruser. EvLeaks has an almost flawless track record of mobile industry rumors, for example, being the first to put images of the Lumia 920 online before Nokia announced it.
It has been rumored for some time that Microsoft wants to hold a hardware event in October to showcase its new devices. In addition, in addition to the Lumia 950 and 950 XL, there would also be a successor to the Surface Pro 3. This has in any case approximately the same dimensions as the Pro 3, but otherwise few details are known about the device. The Chinese site Cnbeta claimed earlier this year that a second, larger Surface Pro with 14″ screen would be announced, but this rumor has not been confirmed by other sites.
