Zotac equips compact Zbox PC with GTX 960
Zotac has announced the Zbox Magnus EN970 desktop. The mini PC is equipped with a Core i5 CPU of the Broadwell generation and has an Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 on board with 3GB of vram. The video card can control four displays.
It is unclear which Core i5 the mini PC from Zotac is equipped with. The Zbox Magnus EN970 has an Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 and not a GTX 970, as the name suggests. The video card offers four HDMI outputs and supports both dual gigabit LAN and 802.11ac WiFi for the network. There are two slots for up to 16GB DDR3L RAM with a speed of 1600MHz.
Zotac offers two versions. The regular Magnus EN970 comes without ram, and the Plus variant has 1 module of 8GB ddr3l. The Plus variant also has a 120GB m.2 SSD on board, while the regular one has no storage media on board. In addition to the m.2 slot, there are two 2.5″ slots. Furthermore, the Zbox Magnus EN970 has support for bluetooth 4.0, four USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports. The PC has no power on board and does not power in through an adapter.
In an interview with the German medium PC-Max, the marketing manager for Zotac in Germany says that the device should be on the market in September for 890 euros. It is unknown whether the manufacturer uses the same price and release date in the Benelux.
