Download FileZilla Server 1.1.0 Beta 1

Last week, the first beta release of version 1.1.0 of the open source FTP server FileZilla Server came out. FileZilla Server is a small and powerful ftp server that includes support for fxp (sending files from one ftp server to another), secure connections (ssl and tls), gss authentication and Kerberos encryption. Unlike the client version, which is also available for Linux and macOS, the server version is only developed for Windows, but not very active. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

New features:

• User impersonation, FileZilla Server can now optionally let users log in using the credentials of system accounts and use their filesystem permissions
• Added description field to users and groups
• Added enable checkbox to users
• Status bar in administration UI now shows connection status

Bug fixes and minor changes:

• Logging fixes
• Fixes to auto-ban logic
• Fixed crash if changing users during ongoing directory listings
