Microsoft is testing light theme in Windows 10
Microsoft has started a test of a light theme in Windows 10. The new light theme makes all elements of the interface light, including the taskbar, start menu, Action Center and the onscreen keyboard.
The new theme is in the Insiders preview in the Fast Ring, Microsoft says. It hopes to get feedback from those users about the new look for its operating system. Windows 10 already has a light theme, but it still leaves many elements dark. Users need to manually set the light theme after the update to the new preview version; by default nothing changes. There is also a new wallpaper, which can be seen on the screenshots.
In addition to the new light theme, there will also be a function to remember the screen brightness when unplugging a laptop. By returning to the state before the user plugged in the charger, the screen sometimes became brighter when disconnecting the charger. The preview also includes a more visible pause button for updates and more intelligent use of Active Hours when the PC is not updating.
