Augmented reality game Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will not be released this year, but has been postponed until next year. The game is being made by Niantic in association with Warner Bros.

The postponement is apparent from a short trailer that the makers have put online. The video is on YouTube and on the game’s official website, which has been updated. Niantic and Warner Bros. do not provide any substantive explanation about the postponement. The trailer also doesn’t show any actual gameplay.

The game was announced in 2017 and is set to release in 2018. Niantic later clarified that the game would be released in the second half of 2018. The new trailer shows that this is no longer the case. It is not yet clear when the game will be released in 2019.
