There are new clues to a possible PC release of Red Dead Redemption 2. The name of a file in the game’s companion app refers to the automatic connection to the PC. Rockstar Games has not yet commented on the find.

Rockstar Intel user BlackStout found several parameters in the app. One is named ‘PARAM_companionAutoConnectIpPC’. In addition, several files were found that refer, among other things, to Nvidia’s txaa, the quality of shadows, water reflection and Oculus and other VR-related terms. The companion app was released along with the game on October 26. Through the app, players can disable the hud, open a map and mark waypoints.

There were already rumors of a PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2. Game news website VG247 had seen on the LinkdIn profile of Rockstar Games that the PC is in the list of platforms on which the game has appeared. The list has since been changed. Red Dead Redemption 2 has been released so far on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
