A processor referred to as an Ice Lake model has appeared in the Geekbench database. It is an economical dual-core, which has more L1 and L2 cache than current, comparable processors.

The Ice Lake U processor is listed on Geekbench stating 32KB L1 instruction cache, which is normal for a U processor, but 48KB L1 data cache per core, where that is 32KB on the current generation. The L2 cache is also higher than U-processors currently: 512KB instead of 256KB. The amount of L3 cache is still 4MB.

There are no further details about the processor yet. The single and multicore performances are 4151 and 7945. With the Core i3-8130U, a recent Kaby Lake R dualcore, those performances are 3693 and 7145 respectively. That processor has been succeeded by the slightly faster Core i3-8145U , a Whiskey Lake processor for which there are no Geekbench scores yet.

According to Wikichip, Ice Lake will have an 11th generation IGPU, while Kaby Lake R and Whiskey Lake will have a 9.5 generation igpu. In terms of number of execution units, it would then be a doubling from 24 to 48. Intel is planning to make Ice Lake at 10nm. That would mean that the processors will appear at the end of 2019 at the earliest.
