Frozenbyte announces Trine 4 4
Frozenbyte has announced Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince. The puzzle game doesn’t have an exact release date yet. It is known that it will be released next year on Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.
In a Twitter message reports Frozenbyte that it is working with Modus Games on the development of Trine 4. Modus Games is the studio behind Override: Mech City Brawl and the Extinction series. No further details about the game have been announced yet.
Earlier this month, the European Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency put on its website a list of thirty games partly funded by the European Union. Trine 4 was also on this list. The list is no longer available on the agency’s website. However, this can be found on Gamereactor, who had discovered the list.
Trine series games are puzzle games where the player has to use different characters to overcome an obstacle. The latest iteration, Trine 3, was released on August 20, 2015 for PlayStation 4, Windows, MacOS, and Linux. It was the first game in the series where the gameplay has a 3D perspective. The games before that had a two-dimensional perspective.
