Rockstar will release an app for Android and iOS along with Red Dead Redemption 2 on Friday. The app connects to the game on the PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One and allows gamers to disable the hud.

Players can use the app to view the game’s map and, for example, set waypoints or mark areas. Because there is a connection between the app and the player’s console, the actions the player takes in the app are linked to the game itself.

The app also displays information about the main character Arthur Morgan and the diary can be read. The app also contains a manual for the game. Since all stats are displayed in the app, players can choose to disable the hud on the TV or monitor where the game is displayed.
