Download Samsung Magician 4.6

Samsung has released version 4.6 of Magician. This program can manage a Samsung solid state disk. For example, the health of the SSD can be monitored, the firmware can be updated, statistics can be viewed and settings can be adjusted. Various tests can also be performed and the program will indicate whether you have a real or fake Samsung SSD. The program can therefore be compared to Intel’s SSD Toolbox. Version 4.6 adds support for the mSATA and M.2 versions of the 850 EVO and fixes a performance issue with the 840 EVO models. A new firmware is installed on those models for this.

Magician version 4.6 features a number of improvements over version 4.5:

• New model support : 850 EVO mSATA, 850 EVO M.2
• Advanced Performance Optimization feature for 840 EVO
