Download Patch My PC 3.0.0.9
Version 3.0.0.8 of Patch My PC was released and 3.0.0.9 shortly after. This program can check whether the latest versions of a large number of programs – including Mozilla Firefox, Java, iTunes, Skype and Adobe Flash – are installed. In addition, it can see which Windows Updates are still missing from the system and which programs are starting with Windows, and can remove programs. This makes Patch My PC comparable to programs such as Personal Software Inspector from Secunia and SUMo from KC Softwares.
The program itself is only half a megabyte in size and does not need to be installed to do its job. The user can indicate which updates should be installed or skipped and then everything is retrieved and installed with one mouse click. The language of the installation can also be specified. Since version 3.0.0.7, the following changes and improvements have been made:
What’s new in 3.0.0.9
- Fixed an issue where Patch My PC Updater may not fit on small resolution screens
What’s new in 3.0.0.8
- Improved the following:
- When you choose “Don’t Update These Apps” in the option menu the application you select will now become read only in the applications list in the left panel
- The “Apps to Install” and “Apps to Update” will now increment after each update is install and won’t wait till the end of the update process
- Removed the following applications due to their installers install bloat ware during a silent install
- Speccy (May install Google Chrome / Google Toolbar)
- PowerISO (Would place a SP-Downoader.exe in the temp directory)
- This file appears to be associated with Bloat Ware although the installer doesn’t install the file we are removing PowerISO
